How We Experienced Dajapón Fest
Some days remind us why we love this corner of the country. Dajapón Fest was one of them.
At ChaCha Hotel, we were proud to be one of the official sponsors of the second edition of this festival celebrating the presence of Japanese culture in Dajabón — a story that began almost 70 years ago, when the country’s first Japanese colony put down roots right here, on the Dominican border.
A day of community
Throughout the festival, we shared the experience with entrepreneurs, local brands and visitors who traveled from all over the Dominican Republic. We saw families discovering Japanese cuisine, children playing, music, tradition, and that unmistakable atmosphere you only feel when an entire community comes together to celebrate who they are.
In every corner of Dajapón Fest, you could sense something bigger than an event: a true sense of belonging.
Why this fills us with pride
For us, supporting initiatives like this goes far beyond a logo on a poster. It means believing in Dajabón. It means seeing firsthand the growth of the region, the opportunities emerging for local entrepreneurs, and the tourism potential of a province with so much to offer.
Everyone who visits Dajapón Fest discovers something we already know: that Dajabón is a piece of the country truly worth exploring. Between its history, its binational market, its nature and its people, this border land holds experiences that surprise anyone willing to discover them.
Dajabón, much more than a stopover
Those who come to Dajabón find a place where cultures, history and landscapes come together. Just minutes away are attractions like Nalga de Maco National Park, El Salto de Loma de Cabrera, the Sabana Clara Reforestation Camp and the Capotillo monument — and it’s only 15 minutes from the beach.
And at the heart of it all is ChaCha Hotel: our home, and a home for everyone who comes to experience the region.
Thank you, Dajabón
To every entrepreneur, every brand, every visitor and the Nikkei community that makes this festival possible: thank you. It deeply motivates us to see more and more people discover and fall in love with this place we call home.
We’ll see you at the next edition of Dajapón Fest. And until then, we’ll keep celebrating and supporting everything that makes Dajabón a unique destination in the Dominican Republic.
